Every event has its own personality, and we love helping bring your vision to life. When additional elements are needed, we can connect you with our trusted network of talented local vendors.
From menu planning to the final plate cleared, we handle the details so you can enjoy the evening.
So...What does a caterer actually do?
A peek inside the apron at One and Done with Cookie
People sometimes think catering means showing up with food and a folding table. The truth? There's a lot happening before the first guest arrives—and long after dinner is served.
At One and Done with Cookie, here's what that really looks like.
1. The Planner
It starts with your event—not a package. We talk about your guests, your vision, your budget, and the kind of evening you want to create. Then we build the menu around you.
2. The Ingredient Hunter
Once the menu is set, Cookie gets to work sourcing fresh produce, quality meats, herbs, and all the little finishing touches that make a dish memorable.
3. The Chef
This is where Cookie does what Cookie does. Prepping, marinating, roasting, tasting, adjusting, and creating food from scratch whenever possible.
4. The Food Stylist
Great food should look as good as it tastes. From individual plates to cocktail displays, presentation matters. No sad chafing-dish chicken on our watch.
5. Your Behind-the-Scenes Person
While Cookie is focused on the food, Dana is watching the room—managing timing, serving courses, refreshing platters, answering questions, and anticipating what needs to happen next.
6. The Cleanup Crew
When dinner is over, we're not heading for the door. Dishes are handled, counters are wiped, and leftovers are packed. You get to enjoy the end of your evening instead of cleaning up after it.
But really?
We're there to make sure you get to be part of your own party.
You enjoy your guests. We take care of the rest.
