What most people don’t see is that the work begins days before the event.

Because a great dinner party is built long before the first glass of wine is poured.


3–5 Days Before — Sourcing the Menu

Cookie personally sources nearly every ingredient on your menu from trusted suppliers.

That often means calls and visits to:

• the butcher• the fishmonger• local produce suppliers• specialty vendors for cheeses, breads, and seasonal items.


The goal is simple: serve the best possible version of the menu you chose.


While Cookie is sourcing ingredients, we are also organizing timelines, prep schedules, and event logistics so every detail is accounted for.


Two Days Before — Preparation Begins

This is when the kitchen work begins.

Sauces, marinades, vegetable preparations, and specialty components are made in advance and carefully labeled so that final cooking can proceed smoothly in your home kitchen.


At the same time, Dana is coordinating the operational side of the event — confirming staffing, organizing bartenders and servers, reviewing timelines, and preparing equipment.


Because when service is done well, you don’t notice it. You simply feel taken care of.



The Day Before — Production

The day before your event is our full production day.

Proteins are prepped, sauces finished, sides organized, and garnishes staged so service runs calmly and efficiently in a residential kitchen. Because the goal isn’t just great food.


It’s protecting the flow of the entire evening.


The Evening of Your Event

When the evening begins, everything feels effortless.


The food arrives at the right moment. The service flows naturally. The night unfolds beautifully. But behind that seamless experience are days of sourcing, preparation, planning, and teamwork.
