Our client's surprise was evident as she opened her door, exclaiming, “I thought catering was just food!” We chuckled as we maneuvered our buggy, laden with three bags of food and four containers of equipment, into her home to craft the brunch experience she had envisioned.
She sat in shock, witnessing us unpacking and maneuvering obstacles like we were at the NFL draft combine. She declared, “Now, it all makes sense.” There is so much more to catering than food.
Cookie, our artistic director, meticulously plans and executes each experience we create. Every plate she selects for display is packed, loaded, and delivered with utmost care. As you can see, we leave no stone unturned in our service.
My responsibilities are numerous, and I take them all seriously. From ensuring nothing is forgotten to purchasing supplies, coordinating timing, and, most importantly, navigating the SWFL roads with a safety-first attitude. After all, we have precious cargo onboard (yes, your food).
Here are a few reminders that go into those catering costs that most people don’t see:
-The expensive equipment and tools of the trade required to create delicious food
-The utilities to make the food, including electricity, water, and gas
-The hours spent shopping and building your menu before your event date. Beluga caviar or cocktail meatballs still require a plan.
-The designing, packing, securing, wrapping, unwrapping, and placement of each display and, finally, the hours prepping, cooking, grilling, or baking to create high-end food
It isn’t always the glamorous life, but it’s our life and we love serving you! Just call us today to get your celebration, special event, or just a private dinner for two on our calendars.
